Activewatch
ActiveWatch is a human rights NGO that stands up for free comunication serving public interest. Started in 1994 as a departement of the Romanian „Așezământul cultural Academia Cațavencu”, it became autonomous in 2006. The main areas of interest for the organization are freedom of expression, media research and media literacy, anti-discrimination and good governance. ActiveWatch engages in research, advocacy, training, communication campaigns, and rapid response activities. It has over 50 collaborators in more than 15 countries and is part of networks such as Reporters without Borders, IFEX and the International Network against Cyber Hate.
